Trick of Juan Manuel Marquez

Juan Manuel Marquez allegedly cheated pacquiao during pacquiao vs marquez 3 fight held at MGM Grand in Las Vegas on November 12,2011 ET. I just came across my friend’s facebook account where the photos of Juan Manuel Marquez being caught stepping on the foot of Manny Pacquiao many times during the fight was posted on his wall. Probably it is not intentional on the part of Marquez but to know it was repeated a number of times look likes cheating to me.

Watch the video and you'll know who is the real robber and who is the real man

Pacquiao vs Marquez 3 Weigh-in

Pacquiao, the WBO welterweight champion, and Marquez, the current WBO lightweight titlist, have never had problems making weight, especially at the higher weights. Both fighters are obsessed with staying in shape, and both are naturally lighter weight fighters. And true to form, Marquez, despite appearing much bigger in the upper body, weighed in at 142 pounds, two below the limit.

Pacquiao weighed in at 143. So coming in under the catchweight for this fight of 144 pounds was no sweat for the two men who will fight for Pacquiao's WBO welterweight belt in an HBO pay-per-view event (9 p.m. ET).

If Pacquiao and Marquez had to be weighed with the cash they will take from this fight, they would likely come in well over the limit, especially Pacman.

Pacquiao is guaranteed $22 million, plus a share of the pay-per-view take, which Top Rank chairman Bob Arum says could come in around $30 million. Marquez, he said, is guaranteed $5 million with up to $5 million more for the PPV buys.

Asked what he thought of the crowd of 4,500 inside the Grand Garden Arena, Pacquiao said, "I like the fans screaming." Which, of course, made them scream even louder. "I really need to have my best performance in this fight," he said. "I don't want to disappoint the fans. We've trained hard for this fight."

Pacquiao (53-3-2, 38 KOs) said between now and the fight, he would "just rest and prepare for the battle tomorrow." Marquez (53-5-1, 39 KOs), now 38, said he's completing his trilogy with Pacquiao because "I want to fight the best pound-for-pound fighter, so this is the most important fight" of my career.

PACQUIAO VS. MARQUEZ SHOWDOWN

The Philippine pride, the 8-division world champion and the current pound-for-pound king Manny

"The Pacman" Pacquiao (53-3-2, 38 KO's) is going to face his fearless opponent Juan Manuel Marquez (52-5-1, 38 KO's) on November 12, 2011 at the MGM Grand Hotel, Las Vegas, Nevada. After the unsuccessful negotiation of the Pacquiao vs. Mayweather fight, Pacquiao vs. Marquez 3 takes its place. The Mexican fighter first fought Pacquiao on 2004 that ended on a draw. They fought last 2008 which was decided on a split decision, in favor of Pacquiao. And for the third time, they will test each other's abilities on November 12, at the MGM Grand Hotel. Facing each other for the 3rd time, I am quite sure that this is gonna be a very explosive fight. Seeing on their professional boxing records, both fighters are quite close with each other. Both of them have 38 KO records which is quite unbelievable. I think this bout is one of the most exciting comeback matches on boxing history. This is the fight that we've all been waiting for.

This two great boxers fought for two times in 2004 and 2008. It was judged as controversial draw and a razor thin split decision favoring Pacman respectively. Fans witnessed an epic rumble full of super slug-fest trading of punches, counters and powerful combinations but still have doubts of who really did win those two last fights.

Now, the third act coming its way this November! The fighting pride of Philippines, Manny Pacquiao square-off for the third with Mexican superstar Juan Manuel Marquez in the welterweight division (catch-weight of 144 pounds) to end the controversies and the doubts on the mind of fans and boxing pundits. The fight that is really personal for both pugilists. Who do you bet to win the clash of two great prizefighter?

NEW YORK (AP)—Nonito Donaire retained the WBC and WBO bantamweight titles, unanimously outpointing Omar Narvaez on Saturday night at the Theater at Madison Square Garden.
Donaire improved to 27-1, extending his nine-year winning streak to 26 fights, with winning scores of 120-108 from the judges. He failed to record a knockout for the 10th time in his last 11 fights in a performance that had most of the 4,425 fans booing the lack of action.
Narvaez (35-1-2) lost for the first time in his 11-year professional career.

Nonito Donaire Jr. vs Omar Narvaez

Boxing fans will be treated to Nonito Donaire Jr. vs Omar Narvaez live stream via HBO Boxing on October 22 (10:00 PM EDT) at Madison Square Garden, New York City.

Nonito Donaire Jr., the reigning WBO and WBC bantamweight champion, faces undefeated Omar Narvaez in one of the most exciting boxing match other than the Pacquiao vs Marquez bout on November 12, 2011 . The 28-year old Donaire (26-1, 18 knockouts) hopes to arrange a match against WBO super bantamweight champion Jorge Arce after this match with the Argentinian Narvaez.

Omar Andres Narvaez (35-0-2, 19 KOs) of Cordoba, Argentina is the current WBO super flyweight champion and for the first time in his career will be fighting in North America. The 36-year old Narvaez is 5-3 in height shorter by four inches against the “The Filipino Flash”. The Argentinian is not a power puncher and has gone the distance in his last five bouts. The Narvaez vs Donaire Jr. live stream will be available on HBO’s Boxing After Dark series.

Donaire will be fighting his second match this year after knocking out Fernando Montiel in the second round of their February bout. The Filipino boxing champion is supposedly groomed by Top Rank to fight Toshiaki Nishioka after this match with Narvaez. However, Bob Arum, Top Rank’s head honcho, wants both Donaire and Arce mixed it up in 2012

Mayweather vs Ortiz results: A controversial knockout fight

Mayweather vs Ortiz results: A controversial knockout fight

Floyd Mayweather Jr. defeated Victor Ortiz in a controversial fourth round knockout that could be the talk of the boxing world in the next 24 hours.

Ortiz threw a intentional headbutt on Mayweather after he opened up combinations against the ropes. He got a warning from the ref and deducted a point from him. While Ortiz was apologizing, Mayweather hit him with a punch and knocked Ortiz to the floor. After 10 counts, Mayweather wins the bout.

Mayweather knocked out Ortiz at the end of the fourth round to extend his unbeaten record to 42 fights.

However, the 34 year-old looked to have landed the knockout blows while Ortiz was not ready after being penalised for a headbutt seconds earlier.

After a quiet opening, the fight burst into life in the fourth round with Ortiz getting Mayweather on the ropes without quite being able to find a decisive blow.

The 24-year-old then seemed to be apologising and was not protecting himself as Mayweather landed two punches - the second a big right hand - to end the fight.

Mayweather Interview:

"I got hit by a dirty shot. The rule is protect yourself at all time," Mayweather insisted in a post-fight interview.
"We are not here to cry and complain about what he did or I did dirty.
"We touched gloves, right hand and that's all she wrote.
"You just protect yourself at all times. I was victorious. If he wants a re-match, he can get a re-match."
Mayweather then showered his interviewer with abuse and said he had never given him "a fair shake".

Explosion at nuclear plant in Japan

8.9 Earthquake Tsunami Hits in JAPAN

The 03/11/2011 earthquake (preliminary magnitude 8.9) near the east coast of Honshu, Japan, occurred as a result of thrust faulting on or near the subduction zone interface plate boundary between the Pacific and North America plates. At the latitude of this earthquake, the Pacific plate moves approximately westwards with respect to the North America plate at a velocity of 83 mm/yr. The Pacific plate thrusts underneath Japan at the Japan Trench, and dips to the west beneath Eurasia. The location, depth, and focal mechanism of the March 11 earthquake are consistent with the event having occurred as thrust faulting associated with subduction along this plate boundary. Note that some authors divide this region into several microplates that together define the relative motions between the larger Pacific, North America and Eurasia plates; these include the Okhotsk and Amur microplates that are respectively part of North America and Eurasia.

The March 11 earthquake was preceded by a series of large foreshocks over the previous two days, beginning on March 9th with an M 7.2 event approximately 40 km from the March 11 earthquake, and continuing with a further 3 earthquakes greater than M 6 on the same day.

The Japan Trench subduction zone has hosted 9 events of magnitude 7 or greater since 1973. The largest of these was an M 7.8 earthquake approximately 260 km to the north of the March 11 event, in December 1994, which caused 3 fatalities and almost 700 injuries. In June of 1978, an M 7.7 earthquake 35 km to the southwest caused 22 fatalities and over 400 injuries.
